Has anyone, or are you aware of anyone using Slackware for a Commercial Web Hosting Business? Also, how could Slackware duplicate CloudLinux / CageFS - how would one jail sites on Slackware?
I slack on google's compute engine with custom kernel built with these instructions: https://cloud.google.com/compute/doc...ding-custom-os.. I'm no pro, and have learned many lessons here, like minimizing packages, using reverse proxies, creating budget related shutdown scripts... GCE has features I like, but I think its pricing is steep--once I accidentally cost myself $2K out of the blue, by forgetting to downgrade an instance with 64cpus, I was using to compile qt5 or some other monolithic block of code, after I was done using it; and their billing department was totally inflexible with splitting my accidental charge among future statements or anything resembling humanity... but I can testify that slackware works on google compute engine.
http://onyxlight.net/ provides hosting to the SBo project (colo, power, bandwidth) for free, and they've also donated hardware to Volkerding in the past. Great folks there, and they are (or were as of the last time it was discussed) a Slackware shop...
Thanks everyone for your input and direction...I currently run a webhosting business, it is CloudLinux (Centos with CloudLinux). I also run WHM / cPanel - so I was curious about Slackware and how to duplicate or do something similar to CageFS - CHROOT isn't really the same.
