@ diretouch:-

What's the notebook? (Make, model, CPU, RAM, graphics chip/card, etc, would be useful...)

As far as swap goes, if there's a swap partition available, Puppy will find it and use it.

For Flash player, go here:-

http://smokey01.com/OscarTalks/

Oscar always keeps the latest Flash player .pet available here for Puppians. (You'll need to re-start the browser before it will find it.)

-------------------------

WINE can be a bit of a PITA, if you're not used to its idiosyncracies. You can either:-

a) Install WINE fully, or
b) Install the 'portable' version.....which many Puppians reckon is easier.

For the 'full' version, go here:-

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=88711

For the 'portable' version, by shinobar, go here:-

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=91748

Mikeslr has re-packaged Portable-WINE with a very recent version; you can find it in this post on the Puppy forums (link to download is in the post):-

Any further questions.....ask away.

Mike.
