Web page problems

Still new the Linux and really liking it a lot. I'm have problems with Firefox. When I open Firefox browser I get the start new session box, no matter what I pick I get a blank browser page with no page forward, page back, all book marks are gone, all web address's are gone. I checked the error console and theres a line high lighted that say's: getService(Ci.nsINavHistoryService); I have not idea what this means, does anyone have any idea what this means and any suggestion's what I need to do to fix this problem? Thank you for any info and or help with this matter.
