Probably to stop mass registrations to stack results. But jeremy (him what is root) or perhaps the mods know the true reason.
Not to mention, that as a new member, you're just a newbie with no history to substantiate your knowledge ....

And welcome to LQ - hope to see you contribute.

You need to be a registered member, with a certain amount of posts, if I remember, (it will be in the forum details somewhere).
