Better communication leads to more participation

Hello
I joined today. However, even after introducing and putting a thread, when I pressed the Submit button, I landed back to where I started (though I saw a line saying, only after moderation, your post will appear).

I feel this is unfair. At least the post should be shown (say in RED) so that I do not need to remember, which was the forum section I posted in, and the red color informs that it is not moderated yet.

(Like in websites when you post a comment, you see a message "your post is awaiting moderation" but you still see your post)

Hope I have not offended anyone.

This is done to reduce the chance that bots and spammers are able to post. My understanding it that only the first post of a new user is moderated before it appears, but I could be wrong about that.

It's not infallible, but it helps immensely.

Welcome to LQ.
