I configured my laptop to use it with wireless and so far so good ... it works !

i receive a ip adres from the router but my problem i can't surf on internet ???

when put a network cable i receive also a ip and i can surf on internet !

what is my problem ?

Where are your DNS and Proxy settings ?

is the ip for the default gateway set in your route?

everything is set right , only that he don't receive any information from the dhcp ! the resolv.conf file is empty ?? but when i use a fysical network (cable) than he receive all the info and he create a resolv.conf with the name servers ....

is that a bug from suse 9.1 ? do someone know if there is a work around for it ?

All right, try this:
1. Open up a console as root.
2. type "ifconfig", which should list your networking adapters. If everything is working fine so far there should be an wlan0 entry, specifying your WLAN card with its settings.
3. If you got this one, try typing: dhcpcd wlan0
4. Recheck the resolv.conf, it should now be in use and carry DNS entries.

At this point your internet connection either works, which means it's just a dhcp initialisation or setting error, or your dhcp-function is generally down, which leads to a different approach...
