I am starting a LUG for Carson City, Nevada. There's five of us so far and I need to get the word out. Any ideas for promoting my LUG would be appreciated.
We will be meeting at 1:00PM on November 19th. at the Carson City Public Library. 900 North Roop St. Carson City, Nevada. Upstairs in Collaboration Room #1.
Only ideas I could think of is 1. Create a Facebook or Reddit Group. 2. Post on the bulletin board at the local college/trade school in the Computer Science or ISNT departments.
I see a whole bunch of interesting web sites from my web search of:
where to post Carson City, Nevada events
Also, there's some computer repair places; I think there's a slight chance that they might be interested. Worth an 'FYI' to them... (although they might see Linux as a 'drain' on their business)
