Message : 'Drive Not Ready' while I insert an Audio CD

I am using FC5.

While I insert an audio CD, by default it opens Totem Movie Player, but the player gives a message, "Totem could not play this media (Audio CD) although a plugin is present to handle it. You might want to check that a disc is present in the drive and that it is correctly configured."

If I run CDPlayer it is showing a message, "Drive Error."

I tried to fix the problem by giving 'read+write' permission to 'all' (chmod a+rw /dev/hdc)for the particular drive where the CD is located, but it could not solve the problem. Even if I log in as root, then the problem persists too.

If you please solve it, it would be a help to me.

Thanks in advance.

regards
