Making links.... What's the best way?

Hi,
I tried to make a link in my desktop of aMSN and cand put it to work. What I have to do is execute a file (amsn) and its always asking me to either "run", "run in console" etc... How can I configure it to always just use "run" but ust for this file, cose I wanna use "run in console" on other files, too.

Thanks for any help, Max.

with KDE:
right click on the desktop
choose "Create New" then "link to Application"
Under the execute tab use the "browse" button to locate the desired executable. Under general you can choose an icon and name it.
I personally don't use the "Run in terminal" option. This option, if chosen, would be specific to that icon and not a general desktop behaviour.

hope that helps
