KDE taskbar applet drag bars disappeared, can't use taskbar now

I installed the latest MEPIS, and it seems they removed the ability to drag applets around... so when you add an applet it like shrinks your 'application panel' to super small where you can't read the text of your apps.

E.G. This screenshot I added a pager, and look how it shrunk my app bar way to small. There's no way I can move the pager to the right to make my app bar bigger. << Attached is the screenshot of my situation

In kde, normally there would be what I can only explain as 'drag bars' by every applet so you could relocate them (like in this screenshot

Any way to get this back in KDE on Mepis linux?
