k3bsetup run, now system won't boot
I was burning a CD today, and I had some trouble, so as a troubleshooting step I ran k3bsetup. This has created more trouble for me. When I ran it, I unchecked the modify fstab box so that it wouldn't mess up supermount (I am running Mandrake 9.1), but I allowed it to make permissions changes to executables and everything else it does. Now, my system outputs this and hangs (it should be noted that bootsplash is turned off):
LILO 22.4.1 Loading 2420-1custom...............
BIOS data check successful
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel
INIT: version 2.84 booting
mount: only root can do that
grep: /proc/cmdline: No such file or directory
Setting default font (lat0-16): [ OK ]
Booting, please wait...
Welcome to Mandrake Linux 9.1
Press 'I' to enter interactive startup
Running DevFs daemon [ OK ]
mount: only root can do that
<< system hangs>>
It appears to me that only root is being allowed to mount filesystems. Can anyone help me change that back? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
