k3b doesn't wait for target dvd

Then I take a video DVD on a DVD+RW, and try to copy it with k3b, it ejects the source DVD, and then immediately closes the drive tray. Then it starts writing on top of the DVD+RW which was my source.

I've looked through the menua, etc. Is there a way to totally pause the process, so that it doesn't overwrite the source?

That doesn't sound good. I don't think it's supposed to do that. I can't think of anything really except to post a bug to the k3b project. In my experience k3b often seems to have buggy releases.

I do suggest however that you turn off the "automatically erase cd-rw's" option (n the advanced tab of the settings), so that it doesn't jump straight into writing over a good disk.
