[SOLVED] How do you install Basic256? I have downloaded the tar.gz file and un archived it into it's own directory.

For those more familiar with installing from within the command line environment than I am, does it sound like you just type basic256.install from the command line from within that folder, or do you run those commands that are in the folder, or something else?
How do you install Basic256? I have downloaded the tar.gz file and un archived it into it's own directory.
I now have a bunch of files and folders, and one folder says 'Debian', which since I'm running Mint 17.1 probably applies. Inside that is a folder labeled basic265.install and inside that is the following:

Did you look in that directory? There is a "HOWTO_debian.txt" file that specifically tells you what to do. There is also a COMPILING.txt file that contains instructions...have you read either of them? Have you checked your online repositories for any BASIC compilers, which you can probably find?
