gnokii can't find my T39

I'm trying to connect my Ericsson T39 through IrDA. It works from Windows with sw I got with the phone, but not from linux and gnokii. On it says T39 works as AT mode compatible phone. My ~/.gnokiirc:

port = /dev/ircomm0
model = AT
initlength = default
connection = irda
bindir = /usr/sbin/
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 115200
handshake = software
smsc_timeout = 10

TELEPHONE = 12345678

debug = off
rlpdebug = off
xdebug = off
I put the phone near my irda module, then issue "irattach irda0 -s 1", change permissions for /dev/ircomm*, and whatever device I try I get the same output as when there is no phone near irda module:
bash-2.05b$ ls -ld /usr/sbin/mgnokiidev /dev/ircomm0 /var/lock/
crwxrwxrwx  1 root root 161, 0 2004-03-25 12:24 /dev/ircomm0
-rwsr-xr-x  1 root root   4760 2004-02-24 22:11 /usr/sbin/mgnokiidev
drwxrwxrwx  2 root root     48 2004-03-25 12:25 /var/lock/
bash-2.05b$ xgnokii
write: [ATZ<cr>]
write: [ATE1<cr>]
write: [AT+CGMM<cr>]
GSM/FBUS init failed!
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to change the device, am I making a mistake with irattach ... ?

I changed port to /dev/ttyS1. As root I type:

irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s

and I get among other lines also this line:
23:21:34.055346 xid:rsp 5bad29ea < 5234237e S=6 s=0 T39 hint=9124 [ PnP Modem IrCOMM IrOBEX ] (20)

And cat /proc/net/irda/discovery gives:
IrLMP: Discovery log:

nickname: T39, hint: 0x9124, saddr: 0x5bad29ea, daddr: 0x5234237e
Now when I run "gnokii --monitor" as a normal user I get:
GNOKII Version 0.6.0
Gnokii serial_open: open: Device or resource busy
Couldn't open ATBUS device: Device or resource busy
Telephone interface init failed: Command failed.
and as root:
GNOKII Version 0.6.0
Gnokii serial_opendevice: tcflush: Invalid argument
Couldn't open ATBUS device: Invalid argument
Telephone interface init failed: Command failed.
Anybody knows what's wrong here?

i don't know why, i'm still working on it, but it works fine for me...
