I've had the same problem with earlier 2.0.0.* releases of Firefox. For instance this url, which BTW is a phish site,
http://0xd5.0xb8.0xac.0xe3:1280/pp/o...rcmd_login.php
gives me a
Firefox can't find the server at 0xd5.0xb8.0xac.0xe3
However if I go to DNS Stuff and enter it in the URL DE-OBFUSCATOR tool, I get:
http://0xd5.0xb8.0xac.0xe3:1280/pp/o...rcmd_login.php is:
http://213.184.172.227:1280/pp/onlin...rcmd_login.php
which Firefox will gladly load. I've been troubled over this for quite awhile but just gave up asking on different forums including the Firefox ones. I would just go to DNS Stuff and De-Obfuscate it. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd be willing to try them other than upgrading my version or going to another flavor. One suggestion that was given was to enter about
:config and change this network.dns.disableIPv6 from false to true. I tried that with no change.
Thanks for any suggestions
Chris
