FC1 command line issues with RPM command

I'm working on a project that constrains me to a command line, no-thrills version of Fedora core 1. I need 'cdrecord' and 'mkisofs' to make an image and burn it to CD. I have the .rpm's for both (made for FC1) and I would think my only issue is to install them. Did I mention there is no internet connection possible? YUM won't work as I it's not installed and if it was, I can't get it to point to a local file like I've done in the past.

I have my command line Fedora Core 1 machine in a different building and so I've set up a Fedora Core 1 machine from a disc (graphical with windows) to try and work out the issue. I was able to install cdrecord and mkisofs using rpm -ivh *.rpm from a terminal and it worked out great. Trying this on the command line machince didn't work as just typing the command 'rpm' returns: "rpm: error while loading shared libraries: librpm-4.2.s0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I'm thinking I'm missing some libraries or need to install RPM from a .tar.gz. Any idea's? I don't have yum on this machine and rpm doesn't work either.

Yes, you need librpm. If you have the build tools installed you could install it from source. You could search for any librpm file and then make a symlink ending with the proper numbers you require.

It just makes me want to bang my head on the wall even thinking that there is someone trying to use FC1. But certain systems cannot be changed for security reasons. I don't envy you!
