Deluge Won't Start - Keep Getting An Error

I got ubuntu 8.04 and I had installed the latest version of Deluge through synaptics. Deluge was working fine for a day or two. Afterwards, when I try to bring it up, it wouldn't show and I'd get this message:

Sorry, deluge bittorrent client closed unexpectedly
If you were not doing anything confidential (entering passwords or other private information), you can help to improve the application by reporting the problem.

Then, it gives me th option of reporting the problem or restarting the program. I've tried uninstalling then re-installing the program but that doesn't fix the problem. How do I fix this problem?

Try starting deluge from command line, see if it outputs an error.
