CentOS 6.6 doesn't boot after uninstalling VirtualBox
Hello all,
I'm in a pickle. We currently have our developers running on CentOS 6.6 with a Windows 7 VM running on VirtualBox.
The company bought new laptops for the developers, so I am converting their physical systems to now run as a CentOS virtual machine on a Windows 7 host.
The conversion worked great, but since Windows went from being a virtual machine on a linux system to being the host with a linux VM, I decided to remove VirtualBox from the, now virtualized, linux system.
Ever since I've uninstalled VirtualBox from the new VM, CentOS will no longer boot.
I tried to edit grub to try booting into a different kernel, but I only see one kernel listed. Is there some config file that needs to be updated/removed/deleted? If so, how do I do this without actually booting into CentOS?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
