Can't install packages in either Synaptics or using APT

Hey.
I've been trying to remove a couple packages and also install a couple more and I usually use Synaptics but when using it just now I got this error:
Code:
E: dhcp-probe: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit st
so I tried APT from the terminal and similarly got:
Code:
Errors were encountered while processing:
 dhcp-probe
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1
As far as I can think, I've not done anything I shouldn't have over the last couple days, haven't edited anything so I don't know why this is coming up all of a sudden. I was hoping if anybody here could tell me if I have and how I could fix it?

I also searched around on Google and found a couple posts similar to this on the bugs.launchpad website but they didn't contain and solution and other websites weren't loading for me.

Thanks

indicate a problem with DHCP.

Try going through your network card setup program and re-configure the card. That might fix the problem. Beyond that, I don't know what to suggest.
