Hi all -

I recently installed Mozilla Thunderbird .8. I had been using the previous version, and renamed the old application folder, extracted the new version into its own folder, then deleted the old one. Thunderbird is working fine, except that when I try to update it (ie. get new extensions or themes), it simply hangs. I can't update any installed extensions, and can't add any new extensions. The install of new extensions looks like it works (no errors), but they don't get added to my list of extensions nor do they show up in the application.

Any ideas??

Doens't this package handle updating software for Mandrake?

I should have been more clear - what I'm having trouble with is updating extensions in Thunderbird, and installing new extensions. (Not updating the application itself). Sorry for the confusion!

I don't run T-bird, but as its from Mozilla, this (something like it) may work (works on F/fox)
Menus: Edit/Preferences/Web Features/Allow web sites to install software/Allowed sites
