never knew css could do that - always learning.
might just as well add that snippet to my userContent.css so it applies globally.

i can somehow understand that people would want that feature in certain situations, but then it's easily circumvented by just downloading the source, and in any case it makes no sense in job applications.

let's say, if someone is really out to get your text, they will get it anyway, and for all the other users it's just a hindrance.
