Slackware 12.1 RC.Local won't start (AMP)

Hey, i've setup apache php mysql on my server, i added start commands to the rc.local file, but after reboot they aren't started, rc.local is chmodded with -x. and if i manually execute if after boot it works.

Quote:
#!/bin/sh
#
# /etc/rc.d/rc.local: Local system initialization script.
#
# Put any local startup commands in here. Also, if you have
# anything that needs to be run at shutdown time you can
# make an /etc/rc.d/rc.local_shutdown script and put those
# commands in there.

/etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld start
echo MySQL Started
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
echo Apache Started
/usr/local/sbin/pure-ftpd &
echo FTP Started
That's my rc.local, can someone tell why it doesn't get called ?
I'm using slackware 12.1

Because it is "chmod -x" rather than "chmod +x"

Also, you would be better served by posting your Slackware
questions in our Slackware forum.

Ok i'm curious, did you install MySQL and Apache using the packages from slackware. If you did then you don't need to add anything to rc.local. Look in the rc.d directory for rc.mysqld and rc.httpd. they are normally told to start from rc.M
