Samba Can See Share But the File/Folder Doesn't Exist

I'm accessing shares on a Windows Vista box using Samba running on SLED10. I can see the share and even the file itself but when I attempt to open it I receive the following: the file or folder smb://xxxxx@192.168.1.100/Stuff/ttesttttt.docx does not exist.
Linux and Samba user has been created. Any help is much appreciated.
(Just found it this works with XP but not Vista..hmmmm)

I'm about 99% sure this is a Vista issue. Your linux server config shouldn't have anything to do with Vista shares.

You need the samba client installed on linux to access shares on antohter box. That should be it.

I would touch Vista with a 10 foot pole, so can't help with Vista. I can only suggest you do some googling, or even Micro$oft knowledge base.

Thanks very much for your response. I played around a bit more with this last night. I have a dual boot Windows XP/Vista machine that has a lot of info I wanted to transfer to my SLED10.1 machine. That's why I thought Samba would be a great way to do it. Well, I find Samba allows me to see the linux box from XP and for me to see the XP box from linux with all the functionality that I need. It's just when I try to view the shares from Linux to Vista that I get this weird behavior. I guess I'm not really surprised. Chock one up to Vista.
