Set up USB port for storage only

I am building a system that is designed to transfer user files into a closed system automatically using Raspberry Pi.
I want to set up the USB connection to get a connection only from an on-key disk (or other volume), to prevent a keyboard or mouse connection (HID). I would be happy for any help how to do it.
I'm new to Linux. I use Raspbian.
Thank you.

You should look into udev rules that can perform certain actions when certain devices are added.
Possibly also look at these two articles, esp. wrt usb ports:
https://dt.iki.fi/udev
https://dt.iki.fi/disable-usb-port
