Paging and Segmentation


One problem with both paging and segmentation is that when a user wants to read from an I/O device, the device is typically given the physical memory address where the data should be stored. What problems does this create for the OS..

Homework?

Think about what it means to be paging or segmentation. A combination of both has the same problems.
