Can't get rlogin, rsh to work in FC3

Hi all,

I have a new PC running FC3 working great. However I need to use old stuff like rlogin, rsh to get to older machines that don't have ssh.

I have been using this programs on several older linux and solaris machines.

I want to be able to use rlogin ( from the FC3 to a old machine ) and set -display FC3:0.0 so then I can use all SW on the old machine ie: xterm &.

I can do outbound rlogin, rsh, but my FC3 is refusing to open a xterm -display

Any suggestions what have been changed since RH 8.0 security wise.

Looking forward to a happy new year

Thumbs up rlogin rsh xterm problem solved

It was the firewall that caused my problem

stopping and flush
/sbin/iptables -F

solved the problem. Now I have to config IPTABLES to be able to get a more consistent solution
