Well, I have not been on this site much due to the fact that I was installing Mint Mate on most of my units, including a few clients, have discovered that the Linux community has really moved me... I am impressed that the resultant responses of the community of all the linux users is a phenomia. After noticing a small clip of what OSes are used in all devices, I am moved of the vast distributions provided for every application of each device on the market. I see only 2% is remaining of MS. Yay!!!! lol... So, my experience is the Linux Mint site that is very awsome... Two users on that forum has really gotten me in trouble by involving me into deep, I mean, DEEP into Linux... wow... And, seeing the difference between 10 yrs ago and now, back then I had no clue to what Linux is about... Now, due to me falling in love with the Raspberry Pi's and Beaglebone Black, well, I really hesitated at first and them did a little exploring, and WOW, Raspbian made me second think about the whole Linux Phenomia.... And, YES!, Linux is it! I already hate windoze... ever since they expired the XP OS... the biggest mistake MS ever made... So, here I come, Linux!... So far I love Ubuntu, and Mate... Those two are quite awsome... I get most of my help on linuxmint.com forum and those ppl are awsome... I tried to get help on the Raspbian and RaspberryPi help forums and those ppl are not as easy as the ones on linuxmint.com forum. I do like this site, but due to discovering the linuxmint.com forum they have helped me on all distributions no matter what the issue is... So, Jerry, keep it up and with all the ppl on this site bless their spirits to the bestest of the extreme......

Jeremy, thank you for the Linux Questions Forum. It has allowed me to learn about linux and Slackware in particular. It is my source for information about hardware and "how-to". If there are two areas's of improvement it would be that many times there is an overlap with an issue and which category it should be listed in. I have had issues which could easily be in hardware, laptop, networking or Slackware. Guidance for new member on where to post, and where to browse for answers, along with better tagging suggestions for posted answers would be helpful. My example would be if you are using old broadcom network wireless drivers on a laptop, is it laptop, networking, hardware, or Slackware issue to list for help? Secondly, I wish the individual forums would have some tutorials at their sticky headings, or a link to tutorials website for that distribution. If a person does a search on bluetooth, they can find information for slackware 9 but also for slackware 13, but the how-to is really in the Slackwiki site. I know you don't want to duplicate other information already on the web, but that is why I suggest links to tutorials for each distribution. The last improvement, specific to Slackware is that there is a long running sticky "So you want to be a slacker.." it has many pages and has some information which should be "age categorized", ie it is pertinent for 9 but not for 14, or pertinent for X86FREE but not for XORG. Maybe this is more of a request for moderators to help with clean-up/tagging of articles, even if they aren't the original poster. Thanks for the feedback. LQ does have a calendar for events and happenings related to Linux and Open Source, although at the moment I'll admit it doesn't see much usage.

Congrats on the 14th anniversary!
Suggestions for improvement; I'd go with notKlaatu's post (#11).
To that; perhaps tags on posts will help search and a vote option, indicating an answers a useful so it can be found quicker and help others. It might help avoiding asking a similar question over and over again.

I've been around here for a while and in IT even longer and this is still the only Linux forum I am registered on ...
I really appreciate the relatively lean design/culture here.
I even recommend it occasionally when I'm on other tech sites if someone asks/needs a site like this.

I will just say two words LQ rocks.And one more thing 14 years is just the beginning, LQ will exist as long as opensource exists.

Hi, I've been researching various problems on LQ for a long time and it seems to me that you should have a button or something so that a visitor could save the page for offline viewing vs having to hit ctrl-s and then getting a huge amount of information: css, js, etc. on there hard drive.

Thanks for the feedback. As this functionality is already built into most browsers (and css/js is extremely small in the context of current hard drives), we have no plans plans to implement this feature at LQ.
