Unhappy Why my Chrome browser can't remember websites I had viewed

When I type "g",it'll show "google.com" before.
Chrome browser used to remember sites which I have viewed before. But now it can remember nothing.
Any suggestion will be appreciated!

Have you changed your history options?
I only have iceweasel, but, under Edit>preferences>Privacy tab mine is set to "remember history.
preferences is sometimes listed under or as options for some browsers.
