In terms of taking advantage of multi core technology - most Linux distro's already did this a while back.
In terms of Intel Turbo Boost :
Based on some brief reading a driver needs be loaded onto the OS to "initiate" Turbo Boost, as this is a dynamic feature initiated by the OS itself. From what I have found only Windows (XP/Vista/7) support it at this stage.
