Want to change the language of kali linux premuim polish edition
Hello guys...can you please help me? I accidentally downloaded kali linux polish edition because I thought it said polished edition...I know this might have been a real Id10T error but is there anyway that I can change the language to english...I don't understand Polish unfortunately. The version is Debian Gnu/linux with Linux 3.12-Kali-686-pae GNY GRUB version 1.99-27+deb7u2
That's a cracker - I can imagine your reaction when you found out. You probably can change the language version to English, but I imagine that the language will no doubt be tweaked in several places within the distro. You would therefore be far better, imo, just downloading the latest version of Kali from https://www.kali.org/downloads/ and installing that.
Locale, change it to the Lang you want. if it is in Polish and you cannot read it, then well... take a few classes for Polish so you can find the files you need to change.
though as stated before, if it was produced for the Polish Lang, then it will prob be optimized for the Polish Lang too. You can give it a try, then if it does not change everything over to the Lang you can understand, then I'd deff go with @hydrurga suggestion. Most installs I've done though let you pick a Lang so it could be a 6 one way and half a dozen the other way situation here.
any "Kali Linux Premium Edition" sounds like a perfect recipe for desaster to me.
my advice: delete whatever you downloaded and get the real thing.
If it isn't downright malware, it's very likely less premium than kali linux proper.
if you must use kali at all, that is.
it sounds like it isn't really your thing, you being new to linux and all.
Distribution: Currently: OpenMandriva. Previously: openSUSE, PCLinuxOS, CentOS, among others over the years.

Do you even understand who Kali is meant for ? It's not meant for beginners, why are you still using it ?
There are over 500+ Linux distributions out there to choose from, according to at least 1 figure I've seen. I don't understand why no one has mentioned the above already. Kali Linux's own website says you should not be using it. Have you even read it ? Have you read anything else about it ? There's only a sticky at the top of this very forum that you should have read before posting. Do yourself a favor and choose something else. You're not going to understand it - it's for hacking not general purposes, full stop.
If you must have Kali (and know why!), start again and download a genuine version. I doubt if there's anything wrong with what you've got, but it's not just Kali with a different language: it's a different distro that's based on Kali. It might be easy to change the language, it might not; and who knows what else will be different? https://www.kali.org/downloads/
