So I see Linux Mint has a major issue with Ubuntu and Snap
I'm a little concerned with Mint's description here:

Sounds like it's no longer "effectively" open-source,and that bothers me.
Really into transparency, as I have major trust issues with ALL aspects of the modern world.
......... I for one am glad that the Linux Mint group brought this to everyone's attention. This seems like a sneaky way to install software that is doing something different behind your back and because of it I'm not going to be installing software by the Ubuntu group. This is similar to the underhanded practices that Microsoft has done since before Windows 95 !!
