Is there any way to roll back the most recent upgrade?

I just ran and installed recommended updates using Software & Updates in Ubuntu 18.04. Unfortunately my primary work application, Houdini, now crashes on launch. I need to roll back just this last update. Is there any easy way to accomplish this?

The thing is, the package files required to roll back no longer exist on the mirror. I think your focus should be more on getting Houdini to work right. Install 'strace' and run the houdini executable preceded by the command strace. Like, 'strace houdini'. Then post about the last 20 lines of the stack trace.

In the future, I would advise you to make regular system snapshots/backups/images using software like TimeShift or CloneZilla. That way you will be able to roll back to the latest image if anything like this happens again.
