[SOLVED] Rhel 6 don't boot

Hi everybody.
I use rhel6.2, I've installed it and run install rsyslog 6.6.1, mysqd, httpd and after that I reboot my system.
When it boot I cant't get any shell or graphic session.
I get these message in my screen:

Code:

starting sshd:    [Ok]
Starting postfix: [Ok]

When I use the option single user mode it boot normaly but when I use multiuser or X11 mode it doesn't boot and show these messages even if I'm waiting durring 12h.

There isn't enough information for us.

You mention being able to log into RL 1. From there you should have access to the log files; What do they tell you? Any error messages?

BTW:
- RedHat products are _not_ free, you need a paid subscription to use it.

Server based alternatives for RedHat EL (free and 99.9% compatible):
- CentOS
- Scientific Linux

Consumer based alternative for RedHat EL (free, and geared toward home usage):
- Fedora

there is nothing realy wrong in my log file.
when I make tail /var/log/boot.log I get:

That's not the only log file present in /var/log/ and tail only shows the last 10 lines, you need to be more thorough.

Maybe RedHat support can help you with this (I am assuming you paid for RHEL).

I've deactivate rsyslog autostart when it boot and I've solve the problem.
But I don't now exactly why when I start rsyslog at startup it doesn't boot.
It's a compatibilities problem or what?
Note that i've updated my rsyslog 4.6.2 to rsyslog 6.6.1 before the problem apear.

You cannot upgrade from one major number to the next (let alone from 4 to 6), only upgrading of minor numbers is supported.

My advise: Remove RHEL (which I do believe isn't paid for by you) and install a current CentOS version (see post #2 for a link).

It's serious. It valid only for RHEL or for every linux distribution.
I use RHEL without paying.

It depends on the distro used. RHEL (and its clones) do not support upgrading from one major version to the other.
