Post on my mac when i download an application it does it but when open that application comes this message


An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Could not create lock file in /tmp/.tX3080-lock
"

What distribution of linux are you using? Are you trying to startx as user or root? Who owns /tmp? Permission problem? How are you trying to start X? Do you have a ~/.xinitrc ?

Need some basic info.
