Mandrake Nvidia Problems - games won't start

I'm running Mandrake 10.0/KDE 3.2.3, I have an Nvidia Geforce MX 200, and I installed the nvidia drivers found on www.nvidia.com :

Linux Display Driver - IA32

Version: 1.0-6111
Operating System: Linux IA32
Release Date: August 5, 2004L

I installed it without problems, and read through the README found on the site and verified that XF86-Config-4 was configured correctly, but whenever I try to run Tuxracer, the screen goes black, and then I see the desktop again. when I run "tuxracer" in the terminal, I get the same effect, with this in the terminal:

Code:
Tux Racer 0.61 -- a Sunspire Studios Production (http://www.sunspirestudios.com)
(c) 1999-2000 Jasmin F. Patry <jfpatry@sunspirestudios.com>
"Tux Racer" is a trademark of Jasmin F. Patry
Tux Racer comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. This is free software,
and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions.
See http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html for details.

Fatal signal: Floating Point Exception (SDL Parachute Deployed)
I've installed Stepmania on a previous installation (same everything), and it didn't work either. I think both programs use OpenGL, so I think that may be the problem, though I'm not sure. I've browsed a lot of forums, but haven't found anyone with the same problem as me. Anyone have any idea as to what may be wrong? I'm almost done migrating from Windows (just a few things to accomplish first, this being one), so any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, not a good sign. I'd try running these and see if you can track it down:

gears
glxgears
glinfo
glxinfo

Thanks for your reply.

gears and glinfo didn't work, though glxgears and glxinfo did work.

glxinfo returned:

glxgears showed spinning gears, and this info looks alright (I think?). though gears and glinfo didn't work. Do those need to be working as well? Is there a way I can get them to work? Thanks.
