I have googled some on this matter and realized that I'm not the only one with the problem, but so far I haven't been able to find the solution.
I would like to record some own music, and I try programs like Ardour or Rosegarden, but I can't get Jack Control to work. When I try to connect to the Jack server I only get an error (the last part of this message):

The main problems as I understand it is: “Cannot open PCM device alsa_pcm for playback. Falling back to capture-only modecannot load driver module alsa”
and: “Could not connect to JACK server as client. - Overall operation failed. - Unable to connect to server. Please check the messages window for more info.”
What should I do?
I can play and record via Audacity (that also use ALSA), so why should it be any harder to use something that needs Jack?
I am new to this part of Linux (and not a very experienced Linux user in any area), so if you could give me any hint it would be much appreciated.
