I am looking for a downloaded program, can't seem to find it. Help!

I downloaded a program that will allow me to find my password for win8. Win8 has a glitch, I think, that causes it to remember a password that the user - me - did not use when installing the program. I think that I installed my Ebuntu as a dual-boot application. I did not really understand how to do this, as it was my first experience with Linux.

The vendor of the program I downloaded won't let me download the program again, because I 'used all of the 3 downloads that I was entitled to'. Vendor is probably correct, but I can't find even one.

I need to get onto win8 so That I can move all of my bookmarks, some programs, contacts etc. over to Ubuntu. Microsoft has lost a customer. I have discovered Linux, and will not be using Microsoft products in the future.

Please help this new Ebuntu user!

Code:

Use su if you don't have sudo configured.

Boot up Ebuntu or use a live cd/dvd.
Mount the windows drive/partition with ntfs-3g and get the files.
