Formatting Windows 10/Suse 42.2 dual boot for a clean Windows 10 /Linux install.

Hi all :-),

I have a laptop running Windows 10/OpenSuse 42.2.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 and then install the latest OpenSuse version.

I tried *deleting* Windows 10 but it didn't delete all the partition. Instead, it formated the Windows partition.

I want to delete ALL the partition and do a clean install of Windows and then install the latest OpenSuse version.

Could someone give me some steps how to do this please?

Many thanks,

Alex

If you don't know about fdisk or parted, it's probably simplest to use gparted from a liveCD - your OpenSUSE install image should do. It's a GUI that should do the lot - just make sure it's not using the swap partition or it'll refuse to delete that.

I have managed to install everything and could boot into both Windows and Linux but there is a problem with my boot set up. I can boot into linux only if I have installation disc otherwise it boots straight into Windows.

This is what I have in my BIOS setting:

How can I fix this?

Any help would be much appreciated.
