Fedora Core 4 install won't start

I'm losing my mind!
I can't even get into the install point.
Everytime i try, it starts to load, but then it comes to a point,
where it says:
running install...
running /sbin/loader

loads a while...

then a huge text pile comes with code
and at the end, it says:
====================
[<c0105a88>] do_IRQ+0x58/0x90
[<c0103c4a>] common_interrupt+0x1a/0x20

(this pile of code comes two times)

and then nothing respondes...

I have downloaded the iso file again...
and burned again, but still the same error

I can't do mediacheck, couse of the same reason.
All i can do, is "linux askmethod".
but at the end, there comes the same common_interrupt

Couse when it starts to run /sbin/loader it crashes.

Did i even download the right install iso?
which is FC4-i386-disc1.iso

I got IBM Pentiun 3 500mhz with 256 ram
any advise?

That's quite an old system, seems to be a problem with IRQ handling. Don't know anymore than that

Fedora will be a bit sluggish aswell, might i suggest debian, can be installed easily with a GUI (although this too makes it a bit sluggish). It also has a net instal lcd to install the packages you want

Ahhhh.... FC. The notorious problemmaker. Why don't you get these probs on other distros?

I suggest Gentoo. There is no possibility you can get an error.
