Hello,

What exactly are you referring to? You want to learn how to attack using Denial of Service and Distributed Denial of Service? I'd take very careful steps on the forums if that is what you're looking for. LQ members are not going to help you by teaching you how to do illegal stuff.
If you're only looking for information on how DoS and DDoS works I suggest Google:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack
http://www.security-faqs.com/dos-vs-...ifference.html

Kind regards,

Eric

He's ok dude.... He posted in the subject that he is trying to simulate a DDoS attack in NS2. That doesn't technically violate the forum rules cause he is not causing harm, and no intentions on taking down any targets, just within NS2.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for pointing that out! Since I don't even know what NS2 is I jumped to conclusions. Sorry for the mistake.

Kind regards,

Eric

Honestly, I gave you a link to another thread almost exactly like your question, explain that you want to simulate instead of doing an actual attack, and yet you give me negative rep, affecting my overall rating? That's low. Instead of saying that I am useless, how about you tell me more of what exactly you are looking for, and I can help steer you in a better direction? Thank you for understanding.

And here you go... http://arturo-servin-research.blogsp...-and-ddos.html
Knudfl was able to help within the other forum with links to google, using a simple search, and I came across that. I also came across this - http://en.cnki.com.cn/Article_en/CJF...Z201003013.htm
So next time when I give you a reference, don't blow me off because they are links. That also includes learning how to read

Josh

Oops, you beat me to it. And I noticed that you merged both links in your last post. Here is the one I found that definitely works:
Code:
