can't move or close windows


i just installed klusterknoppix with KDE and the problem seems to be that there are no buttons to move or close windows.

please help!!

Sounds to me like the window decoration options have been messed up.

A quick look through the manuals for kde should point you in the right direction.

open a terminal (konsole) and type the following command:

kwin &

This should start the window manager/decorations.
If it does not, you should get some useful error messages.
