Can't login as user

Hello everybody, I am using the FC6 on this machine for last 40 days. I did copy/cut/paste and changed permissions several times. Several times memory available reached to its max. limit, that time I made that space. But today when nI started the PC and tried to login as user, it shows warning as:

Your $home/.dmrc file is being ignored. This prevents the default session and language from being saved. File should be owned by the user and have 644 permisions. User's $Home directory must be owned by use and not writable by other users.

Then I logged in and changed the permissions of whole /home and /home/user as 644.But still it was showing same. Then I moved all the files to /home/user which previously I saved at /home. Now it doesn't allow me to login as user except root and before the previous warning along with previous one it shows following message:

Your home directory is listed as '/home/user' but it doesn't appear to exist. Doyou want to login with /(root) directory as your home directory.
It is unlikely anything work unless you use a failsafe session.

Now what should I do? I can't oprate bash?
Thanks.

Two possible cases.

1. Directory really do not exists.

2. Again some permission issue.

Make sure that

Permission of /home is 755
Permission of /home/user 700 with owner and group as the username. Also the desktop files in this user home dir must be owned by the use and some of them will require execute permission.
