Question Can't find kernel files for recompile

I have mandrake 9.2 and can't find where my kernel files are. I thought and have read that they are in /usr/scr but only a rpm file is there. I have no clue what to do. Can anyone help?

The sources probably did not get installed when you did the installation.
Just go to Configuration --> Packaging --> Install Software and type in 'kernel' without the quotes in the search field. You will see an option as follows:

kernel2.4-marcelo-2.4.22-1mdk

This is your kernel source.
Install and have fun.
