I gotta say that THIS PLACE IS AWESOME.... it is exactly what i was looking for people to help each other out Linux!! Anyway, i just installed RH 7.1 on my IBM.... The speakers aren't working, Aussie, i know you answered this before, so i logged into root and typed in 'chmod 666 /dev/dsp* and all that.... but i'm still stumped, said it was too few arguments..... prob is that i see the song playing on the screen, but no sound outta the speakers :-/
user acc'ts.... i know how to /usr/sbin/adduser and all that, but i was wondering the command to delete a user?? help me out?
dude, you guys, thanx for your help... i almost don't wnat to tell you this cause i'll go down as the greatest dumbass.... but when i was pluggin stuff in, i saw the green for teh speakers and went for it..... i never knew i had a voice modem.
looked closer and found another set... all systems go

I needlessly flashed the BIOS for a computer that I was building for my sister - it now doesn't work. Now that's what I call a dumbass!
