permission extract files over networked folder

ok for some reason search isn't working for me on this site getting java error so I am posting my question
I have used this command to mount a shared file "sudo mount.cifs //192.168.0.103/torrents/Vids /home/lingchi/Desktop/Windows-ShareShadowfire -o user=Shadowfire" but I also want to be able to extract or delete files or folders off of there and I am not sure what IU need to change in the above command to do so.
I already can delete extract add folders on the above windows PC from a different windows PC so the windows permissions are working it is the Linux commands I am unsure of

Deleting files needs another set of permissions that extracting. You can extract without modifying the remote filesystem.

Have you tried to extract files? If yes, how precisely did you do it, and what happened?
Same question for deleting.

Hint: Use an internet search engine and add site:linuxquestions.org. Or simply search the entire internet.

I just opened the folder and tried to use the extract files here. same goes for attempting to delete I opened the folder and pressed delete oand also tryed the right click delete but I get the I don't have permission to do that .

on my networked hard drive ( I have a hard drive connected via usb to my router) I can do anything with them .

but when I try to delete or extract a a zipped file that I am connected t oon my windows machine it gives me the permission error. but from a different windows pc I can delete extract I have full permission b ut for some reason coming from my Linux machine it says that I dont have permission.

I actually searched but it could possibly be because of the way I have asked the search engine it doesn't come up with anything but the permissions for folders that are already in linux or from a windows OS to Linux but not Linux OS to windows OS.

It seems that you have read, but not write permissions on the Windows share. This could be so due to the way permissions are set up on the Windows side, or the permissions of the Windows-ShareShadowfire directory on the Linux client.

As a start, let’s look at the Linux permissions. Tell us the output of
Code:
ls -ld /home/lingchi/Desktop/Windows-ShareShadowfire
Next, you need to find out what Windows permissions your Linux client has as user ShadowFire.

I also wonder if there are other Windows shares that the same Linux client can access, with or without success. Or if access to ShadowFire used to work at some point. I.e. a little more background.

As a workaround, you should be able to double-click on the archive you want to extract, then drag and drop the files that it contains to the local filesystem. This should not require write permissions.
