You should be able to edit dhcpclient.conf (on your server) to add the following:
PHP Code:
    supersede domain-name "Torah-disciple.local";
    
supersede domain-name-servers 127.0.0.1
As for looking up names, dig won't automatically append your domain name. If you want to test that behavior, use the host command.

That took care of it on the server. I am still having some issues on the client box but I will start a new thread for that if I can't get it fixed.
