can't get apache to work with bt voyager 25oov

I have recently installed apache on ubuntu 8.04 which has a wireless connection to my router. bt voyager 2500v. i can see my files and site perfectly by typing in 127.0.0.1/~iwan/ however if i use 192.168.1.1/~iwan/ it asks me for my user name and password, which i provide and are correct but i can't see my site.
i'm hoping i won't need to buy a new router.
how can i sort it out?
thanks in advance. iwan

That's expected... you're connecting to your router after all.
