rsync android to linux

i want to backup android to linux
by running rsync on android terminal

do i need to have rsync daemon running on linux?
i would like to start it manually each time, instead of rsync to start at boot time

running rsync 3.0.7 on android

when i run
rsync -v user@192.168.0.101:/media/sda2/backup /storage/emulated/0/pictures

it says
failed to add the host to the list of known hosts (/data/.ssh/known_hosts)

i also tried an foss app from f-droid, syncopoli
https://f-droid.org/repository/brows...radi.syncopoli
but i dont know how to use it

any idea?

i have used syncthing, and i think is nice
but smartphone cpu goes from 30 to 60 celsius
its fantastic for the majority of people,
but i think rsync would be faster for people that are more tech savvy

I agree on high temps, remember to put phone under fan or cold place doing first sync

using an sd card to do the backup would keep every thing alot cooler

This should work:

Code:
rsync -e 'ssh -p 22' username@hostname:/source /destination
It worked for me
