Mono audio from new motherboard


Hi
Using Linux Mint 18.1 Serena. Problem is pulseaudio only outputs mono audio. Please see attachment.

What is chipset on the sound card? The lspci command issued in a terminal should provide that information.

You might also consider listening to Episode 11x7 of the GnuWorldOrder, the bulk of which is a tutorial on using and troubleshooting Pulse Audio.

I installed pavucontrol and now I am getting stereo output.
