Mint 18.1 Serina 32-bit after install ?


After i installed and upgrades mint serena 32-bit i saw the file type was ex2 & don`t see any way to change it-any advise ? I did not see Grub either but gparted so i plan on instaling Berg with GUI has anyone had any problems with Berg ? Can it be installed on serena 18.1 32-bit ?

The installer should of selected ext4 unless you chose something else.

You can convert ext2 to ext3 and ext3 to ext4 without data loss. A Google search should find howto guides.

You should of had the choice of installing grub i.e. grub2. There are ways to install or reinstall.

I am not familiar with berg.

I did select ex4 when i did the initial install but when i updated everything using the built update feature and checked the file system it was xt2.
I don`t remember if i was presented the choice but after the upgrade all i saw was Gparted, no sign of anything else.

Thank`s for the link`s. I found something with a GUI called Gag4 i don`t remember the link & dont think i bookmarked it but will locate it again.
The ex4 was changed to ex2 after using the OS default upgrade feature this was not done by me.
